Circular PCA(P)(2017)11 – Staff training support

Circular PCA(P)(2017)11 gives details as to how to claim funding towards certain training courses which were booked and commenced by a pharmacy team member after the 1st of April 2017 and up until the 30th of November 2017.

The arrangements are slightly different this year, and we would like to draw your attention to the deadline for these claims being the 30th of November. There will be a follow-up circular which will detail actions to be taken for courses booked and commenced during the remainder of the financial year i.e from the 1st of December 2017 until the 31st of March 2018.

The circular also sets out a fee of £100 which will be paid to all contractors to support effective uptake of a new NES support staff workbook: Over the Counter (OTC) Consultations training, which will be sent out in February 2018. This workbook is specifically aimed at the management of direct product requests, which make up the majority of OTC consultations.
