Amanda Rae

Head of Policy & Development (Executive Team Member)

Graduated from Strathclyde University in 1985, Amanda worked in a variety of roles in Community Pharmacy for Boots, including store manager and field roles until March 2016, when she started work as Policy and Development Pharmacist in Community Pharmacy Scotland. Amanda was also Secretary of Lothian Pharmacy Contractors’ Committee (now CP Lothian), and a Council Member of CPS. She also held the role of Lead Pharmacist for the East of Scotland LPF, and remains a member of the committee. In July 2016 Amanda was promoted to the position of Head of Policy & Development.

Adam Osprey

Policy and Development Pharmacist (Executive Team Member)

Graduating from Strathclyde University in 2009, Adam went on to work with LloydsPharmacy as a Relief Manager and then as a Pharmacy Manager in various branches until joining CPS as Policy & Development Pharmacist in August 2016. Adam has also served as a community pharmacy champion in Lanarkshire for the last three years until moving to CPS.

Kirsten Crawford

New Media & Communications Officer

Kirsten joined CPS in January 2013 as Digital Media & Support Assistant after previously working at MS Society Scotland. Her duties include overseeing the application of our new brand value proposition in communications, managing the CPS website, creating digital/social media content and designing branded publications.

In March 2015 Kirsten achieved a Diploma in Social Media Marketing & Online Reputation Management and in November 2015 an Advanced Diploma in Digital Marketing & Communications, both which she passed with distinction. In December 2015 her job title changed to New Media & Communications Officer.

Caroline Rooks

Public Affairs Officer

Caroline joined CPS in August 2018 as the Public Affairs Officer, after previously spending three years working as a Parliamentary Assistant to a MEP in the European Parliament in Brussels. Her duties include relationship building with relevant stakeholders, internal public affairs support and working on communication and digital/ social media content for CPS.

Caroline has a Master’s Degree in European Affairs from L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po, Paris) and a degree in History from the University of Warwick.
